Wow, it feels really good to finally have our website live for everyone to see.
Amy and I have been working every day and most evenings for the last four months to launch our "Online Sewing Boutique."
We both feel very fortunate in being able to follow our passion and turn this into a business. It never gets boring looking at endless bolts of fabric and patterns!
We have been working hard with our in-house designer Cath, designing our own Sewalicious free patterns. We have tested our free patterns many times and tried to make them as easy to follow as possible. We hope you like them!
We are also working on many more exciting new projects and sourcing some fabulous new product ranges that we hope to reveal in the coming weeks and months.
Before we launched we decided to do a couple of local school fairs and give us the opportunity to tell people about "Sewalicious". We got some really good feedback and what was most interesting was hearing a lot of people say how they wanted to start dressmaking and how they had a sewing machine but just did not know where to start. This is why we wanted to not only sell products but create a boutique that enabled beginners to have everything in one place to get them started. We thought back to when we started, what was the most important things we needed to know? What helped us the most? This is why we have tried to include everything you will need to start your dressmaking journey and continue on it with us.
Here are a couple of photos from the fairs:
Amy is wearing her Rose jersey dress which is from our free patterns and I (Nicki) am wearing the Ivy wrap around skrit, also from our free patterns.
We might do some more fairs in the future. If we do, we will let you know as we would love to meet you guys.
