Frankie's Pattern & Fabric Matches for the Festive Season

It’s festive season and we all know what that means! Fabulous parties with Fabulous outfits!!! Or if you are in camp parent, fabulous outfits to be appreciated by friends and family before you swap them for your jammies!

Either way Sewalicious has got you covered with fabric and patterns so get your sewing machines ready and start stitching!

Getting Ready!

The run up to the Christmas season can be a bit chaotic, in between trips to tesco for forgotten vegetables [Don’t forget that Rudolph needs his carrot] and wrapping presents you’ll also have an influx of visitors to deal with so it`s important you look cool but comfortable. I think the Tilly and the buttons Coco dress would be perfect teamed with either the Dark Pink Cable Knit or the Starry Night Sweatshirt Fabric [aptly named don’t you think?]. Just throw them on with tights or leggings and it can take you from the big Christmas shop to your child's nativity.

Christmas Day!

I like to think of Christmas day as an excuse to get a bit dressed up. Plus with the sheer amount of technology in households now its always nice to know you’ll look good on the pictures!! The Named clothing Olivia wrap dress works perfectly because not only is it a very classic piece but the wrap aspect means it also has room for lots of turkey and mince pies! For a subtle sparkle make it up in the bronze gold splash and for something more bold try the silver shower jersey! Because Christmas is for sparkles!

This is your first post Christmas day, so you may be using this day to recover from that extra glass of prosecco or you might be off to visit friends and family. But either way it requires a slightly more casual look and something that won’t feel uncomfortable after yesterdays indulgence. The loose fit of the Tilly and the Buttons Cleo dress means you can hide any turkey induced bloating! Try it in Royal blue needlecord if your getting sick of festive colours or for a more country vibe try making it in this country chic wool blend.

And for a real “I made it myself moment why not try making a simple Agnes jersey top to go underneath? Using a fun print is great way to add some fun to a simple outfit! I love this bold geometric print and these cute birds.

This is the day that its perfectly acceptable to wear as much sparkle and shine as physically possible! So to make sure you shine as bright as the fireworks that will be going off, I’d wear the named clothing ailakki crossfront jumpsuit. The pockets mean you won’t have to worry about losing your phone or money [You could even forgo the handbag if you’ll be spending your night on the dance floor] and the trousers mean there's no chance of flashing your pants but the keyhole detail at the front shows a bit of skin and looks super sexy as does the deep V at the back. For new years you could use this fading flowers viscose or why not use the jet black double crepe!

New Years Day

Unless your spending New Years day in bed recovering from that last glass of wine [no judgement here] then chances are you’ll be seeing in a brand new year with a nice meal or a day out! And of course a new dress! The Named clothing Ansa Butterfly sleeve dress is perfect for starting 2018 with style. For a girly vibe use white chrysanthemums crepe [also comes in purple] or for something a bit plainer use this bold cherry red crepe de chine.

I hope you all enjoy making your festive clothes!

Fab ideas! Love the combinations! If only work wasn’t so busy for the next month and I actually had time (and energy) to sew!   :-(
